CGCIO Scholarship Application Deadline Extended

Scholarships Toward CGCIO Certification
Available to NJ GMIS Members

Dear NJ-GMIS Members:

Have you considered advancing yourself and your career through IT Management training? Are you aware of the Certified Government Chief Information Officer program, the only local government CIO certification program in the country? And that you can get a NJ-GMIS Scholarship to get your CGCIO certification?

The CGCIO certification is offered by two universities through (mostly) online training programs. The programs are similar in content; they vary by timing and locations of the few required meetings.

They are offered by:

(1) Rutgers Center for Government Services:
Details may be found at:

The program is affiliated with Public Technology Institute, and GMIS members are entitled to the discounted price offered to PTI members ($3,300). The CGS East Coast Program starts on June 28. Contact Dale Bowen at dbowen@pti.org for more info.

(2) University of North Carolina:

Details may be found at:

The NJ-GMIS Foundation is offering two, $1,500 scholarships to NJ members of GMIS International (in good standing) who are accepted into the program. If you want to apply for the scholarship, complete the online application by close of business on June 23, 2017.
