GMIS 2008 International Educational Conference
(June 22 to June 25) Atlantic City, New Jersey
Government
Management Information Sciences (GMIS) is a not-for-profit organization consisting of members who are
involved in information technology and are employed at all levels of government or associated
educational institutions. GMIS has been hosting international conferences since 1971.
The International GMIS
conference provides an opportunity to network with peers, learn from the experience of others, hear
from experts in interesting subject areas, and to meet vendors in the conference showcase area. The
international conference is open to all interested participants. Non-GMIS members are welcome and
encouraged to attend!
This year’s
conference planning committee is hard at work developing the agenda and activities you will be
enjoying in Atlantic City, New Jersey from June 22 to June 25, 2008. We are pleased to announce the
selection of the Tropicana Casino & Resort as our venue and have negotiated a $99 per night room
rate. We will have a vendor showcase, multi-tracked educational sessions and a keynote each day as
well as optional activities for spouses. In the evening, we will have two included dinners and an
optional event evening and optional golf outing as well as an opening reception.
Get some funds in your
budget for it (fees aren't set yet, but plan on $500-$900, depending on your overnight stays) and
plan on attending the event from June 22-25.
